Coursera is a Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) founded by two Stanford computer science professors in 2012. It started with Professors Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng as an online courses anyone. Today it expanded to nearly 50 million students offering courses, specification, certificate to even degree. [ref]
