Lim, Jun Long received his Ph.D in EEE from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He also received his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) with Honours (Distinction) from NTU and his Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (DECC) from the Singapore Polytechnic (SP).


He has been an appointed public service officer at a statutory board in Singapore since 2010. He is a young researcher Scientist with the A*STAR Research Entities Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R).

Singapore-born third generation Singaporean

Under the Singapore Enlistment Act 1970, he was enlisted in the Singapore’s conscription in 2005, known as National Service, and later served in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) until his end of service in 2007. He is still with the RSAF as an active NSmen Air Force Engineer servicing the Heron 1 UAV.
