LIM Jun Long

"Experienced scientist cum engineer with a demonstrated history of working with the industry and the academic. Skilled in laboratory research as well as site deployment, OOP programming languages (i.e. Matlab, LabVIEW, etc.), photonics, sensors. Excellent engineering professional graduated from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore"

Background

Lim, Jun Long received his Ph.D in EEE from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He also received his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Honours (Distinction) from NTU and Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (DECC) from the Singapore Polytechnic (SP). He has been an appointed public service officer at a statutory board in Singapore since 2010.

He comes from a very humble family background and is a Singapore-born third generation Singaporean. He was enlisted in the Singapore’s conscription in 2005, known as National Service, and later served in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) until his end of service in 2007. He is still with the RSAF as an active NSmen Air Force Engineer servicing the Heron 1 UAV. He took bank loan (Tuition Fee Loan) to payoff his undergraduate studies as well as self-financed his postgraduate studies.
